Drop-in Advising

Drop-in Advising is available for students in the Burnaby-based Applied Sciences programs every day except Thursday.  Please see the Student Affairs Unit advising schedule to view the drop-in times and advisors or email asadvise@sfu.ca.

Drop-In Advising is also available at the Surrey campus for students in the Software Systems and Mechatronic Engineering Systems degree programs.  Please see the online advising schedule to view the drop-in times or email sysone@sfu.ca.

Drop-in Advising for the SFU-Zhejiang University Dual Degree Program (Burnaby campus) is available on Wednesdays 10:00am - Noon and Friday 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Dual degree program students should see advisor Danyu Zhao during the timeslots noted above.  Students in other program areas may also drop in at these times.  Questions about the SFU-ZU Dual Degree Program should be sent to cschina@cs.sfu.ca.

Please bring a copy of your advising transcript (sorted by Term) with you to the advising session.  The advising transcript can be printed from the Student Information System at go.sfu.ca.

Booked Advising

Booked Advising appointments are 15 minutes in length and are recommended for more complicated advising issues.  To book an appointment please see the Student Affairs Unit advising schedule.

Engineering Science - Faculty Advisors

Engineering Science Faculty Advisors are faculty members who provide specialized advising to upper year Engineering Science students. Inquiries regarding enrollment, course selection, faculty level appeals, scholarship information, deadlines, exchange information, etc. should be directed to advisors in the Student Affairs unit.   Please see the advising schedule to view the Student Affairs drop-in times or email asadvise@sfu.ca.
