Tech Connect Mentorship

No matter where you are in your university career, the FAS 'Tech Connect' Mentorship program offers something for you!

Prospective Mentees:

For prospective or newly admitted students, joining the mentorship program is a great way to get to know the faculty, the university and the academic and social community at SFU.  Through a series of events, activities and informal get togethers, mentees will be introduced to senior students, faculty and staff, and will be given a platform upon which to build the skills required for academic success within the discipline.  Students will learn about support services, be provided with targetted transition advising and be assisted in navigating the path through their first year.

Prospective Mentors:

For upper year students, Mentorship offers an opportunity to create community for students new to the faculty, while at the same time enhancing your own professional and personal development. Mentors receive training, attend events, earn a letter of recommendation, and gain professional skills in a number of career related areas.  What's more, you get the satisfaction of helping other students acclimatize to the university while growing your own social and professional network as you work alongside FAS faculty and staff.
