| Favourite quote: |
"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to the find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."Ralph Waldo Emerson |
| Advice for new students: |
1. When in doubt, do not assume but ask. 2.Do not limit yourself to taking only courses related to your department; try out as many as possible, as you may find where your true interest may lie. 3. Sign up for student clubs to have a social life while going to school. But, do draw boundaries to balance your social life and academic life depending on your workload, family issues and expectations on grades. 4.If applicable, apply to get into the SFU co-op program as soon as you have met the requirements, as it serves as a bridge between the classroom and the workplace. You would not want to transition from school to work after graduation. |
