Joint Major with Business (Information Systems)

Are you interested in business but are also keen on technology? Do want to stand out from the crowd with both business and technology skills employers are after?

From the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases and networks to help businesses do everything from track inventory, perform market research, share resources efficiently and communicate with the outside world to providing cost/benefit analysis and market forecasts—this degree will ensure you have the tools to stay ahead of the competition.

Our joint program, offered by the Faculty of Business and the School of Computing Science, will train you in all the essential areas of both Computing Science & Business including: Operating Systems, Networking, Databases, Management Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Management Science.

In addition, our students can take advantage of our co-operative education program which allows students to gain valuable, career-related, paid work experience. Over 85% of our co-op students find work with one of their previous co-op employers after graduation.

With access to a wide variety of potential employers, ranging from financial institutions and multi-national telecommunications companies to government agencies and a wide array of private corporations, our information systems graduates are well prepared for life-long learning in this dynamic and evolving discipline.
