Computing Science Post Baccalaureate Diploma

Have you completed an undergraduate Computing degree at another institution? Want to upgrade your skills at SFU and obtain a Canadian credential?

The Post-Bac is designed especially for those students who:

  • Want to enter graduate school, but do not have an adequate degree, or
  • Completed a Computing Science degree more than 10 years ago and would like to refresh their knowledge, or
  • Were educated outside of Canada, and need a Canadian credential to be eligible to work in their field, and
  • Want the flexibility of being either full-time or part-time student.

Certificate

The certificate program provides both part-time and full-time students an opportunity to obtain an understanding of the fundamentals of computers and programming without necessarily specializing in computing science.

Certificate courses provide you with a background in programming and technology, which is becoming increasingly important in today’s competitive marketplace. Students who complete the certificate program may choose to proceed towards one of our other undergraduate options. In most cases, students complete a certificate in conjunction with another program of study at SFU.

The certificate program can be taken by students pursuing degree programs in other departments or as a stand-alone program. Certificate courses can be taken part-time.
