Awards you apply for

Lohn Foundation Entrance Awards recognize financial need and demonstrated commitment to volunteer activities. Minimum average of 80% is required. $5,000 All applications must be submitted before July 15 for the Fall term. You must also submit a bursary application before July 31 in order to be eligible. International students may qualify.
H.Y. Louie Entrance Awards recognize financial need and demonstrated commitment to volunteer activities. Minimum average of 80% is required. $5,000
SFU Surrey Entrance Awards will be awarded to select high schools. These awards are available to students who plan to begin their studies at our Surrey campus in one of the following three, first-year cohort programs: TechOne (Applied Sciences), Explorations (Arts and Social Sciences), or Science Year One. $2000 Students with academic averages between 80 and 89 percent are eligible to apply. Community Entrance Awards recognize students who have demonstrated a commitment to school and/or community leadership, the contemporary arts or the sciences. First Nations applicants are encouraged. Minimum average of 80% is required. $2000 Application required; Community Entrance Award application form

Scholarships for BC College transfer students

Ken Caple Scholarships $3,500 over two semesters for all students with a greater than 4.0 admission average. No application required. All BC college transfer applicants to SFU considered.


Other Entrance Scholarships

Mona F. East Memorial Entrance Scholarship. This fund provides a scholarship annually for the student who is graduating from Similkameen Secondary School with the highest standing and who will be attending Simon Fraser University. The amount of the award will vary, depending upon the accrued interest of the fund.  
Stanley Morisse Memorial Scholarship. The Stanley Morisse Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student transferring from the University of Cyprus or a Cypriot secondary school. The amount of the award is determined by the amount of interest earned on the endowment. For further information, contact Student Recruitment. Download the Morisse Memorial application form.
Rotary Club of Vancouver Sunrise Entrance Scholarship The amount of the annual scholarship is determined by the amount of interest earned on the endowment. The scholarship will be based on academic merit with preference for an entering student from King George Secondary School. The recipient of the scholarship will be invited to make a presentation at a meeting of the Rotary Club of Vancouver Sunrise.
Phi Theta Kappa International Summit Scholarships $3500 Up to three entrance scholarships are made available for each of the three admission terms (fall, spring, and summer) for Phi Theta Kappa members with a minimum 3.75 GPA. Candidates must have completed a minimum of 30 units. Part-time students and students with a previous bachelor's degree are not eligible. All amounts quoted in Canadian dollars. Columbia College Alumnus Entrance Scholarship.

This award provides financial support for an alumnus of Columbia College who will be attending Simon Fraser University.

 The award may be disbursed over one or two terms, pending interest income from the endowment fund. Applicants must have graduated from Columbia College and be registered at Simon Fraser and show distinct promise of achievement at the undergraduate level. Applicants must also provide a letter of application and resume summarizing all awards, medals and prizes, leadership initiatives, and service as well as two letters of reference and certified copy of school transcript. Submit all documentation to Financial Aid and Awards at Simon Fraser University by May 30th.
