Communications Upper Division Requirements for Marketing Concentration

Required Students must complete 24 credit hours of upper division courses in communications, including

CMNS 323-4 Cultural Dimensions in Advertising

Directed Studies (readings) and field placement credit will not count as part of the upper division hours required by Communication for the joint major. CMNS 425-4, Applied Communications for Social Issues, is recommended but not required.

Rationale:

CMNS 425 is not taught frequently enough to make it mandatory for all CMNS/BUS joint majors.
