This course explores how practice in the field of interactive art and technology helps to explain the world around us or how we can find ways to improve the way we live, work and play. This course introduces the importance of defining research within the field of interactive art and technology as well as research in related activities in education and practice. This course is for students who may continue in graduate studies or require the skills to research in an industry context. Students will review case-studies, explore research methods, and explore research topics and questions. Students will be expected to explore, complete and communicate their own investigation leading to a well-documented research proposal.
