A discussion document for a proposed joint undergraduate program between the Schools of Communication and Computing Science is now available in the FAS UCC Papers series. FAS UCC Paper 2000-14 Draft Program Proposal: Socio-Technical Informatics http://fas.sfu.ca/ucc/Papers/2000/2000-14/2000-14.html The proposal is still in its initial stages; I encourage widespread discussion within the two Schools. Please note that this document is not up for approval at this time. As a major initiative, I want to give some time for general comment so that a revised draft can be prepared in light of constructive criticism received. That revised draft will then need to go through appropriate processes within the Schools before consideration at the FAS level. Robert D. Cameron, Ph. D.
